Mamalicious wishlist

Most of all, I miss wearing dresses.

+MAMALICIOUS has some affordable, stylish dresses, tops, and lingerie for nursing mums. They have really nice jeans too, for that inbetween phase I seem to be in. Too skinny for my maternity jeans; too fat for my pre-pregnancy jeans. New mum problems.

TV style inspiration: The Good Wife

Julianna Margulies on +The Good Wife has got to be the best example of office sexy. The dresses and blazers they style her in always have elegant neck lines that really compliment her figure. I mean it can't be hard to make Julianna gorgeous when she looks like she does. Girl could work a brown sack.

They also have a lot of pregnant characters. Martha Plimpton looked amazing in her pregnancy wardrobe. I love the scene when Will walks in on her expressing. Hilarious. More recently, Melissa George is on the show and I really look forward to seeing how they style her bump every week.

Nursing clothes on Etsy

I usually go to +Etsy for vintage but there is not much in the way of nursing clothes. There is, however, a great deal of beautiful handmade clothes created specifically for breastfeeding moms. I honestly didn't realize how much of my wardrobe wasn't breastfeeding compatible. You need easy access to the boob. Most of the dresses that I own would have to come off completely, and I can't strip every time HAM gets hungry. These sellers have some really creative clothes that are stylish AND functional.

THE dress: Keungzai

This is THE nursing dress for me. The one. My soul mate in dress form. Come here gorgeous...

+Keungzai  has other nice things too. They are amazing with drapery and flattering the curvy, maternal figure.

Favorite looks

Recent outfits I've loved on +LOOKBOOK. This is my style inspiration, even though none of it is maternity. I've noticed there aren't many pregnant ladies on these outfit diary sites.

That is a great dress; and it's thrifted! It goes perfectly with the hat and boots.

I love the oversize jumper with the pattern trousers. Very cute, especially in the snow.

This girl is so good with color. She always brings it with an exciting, unexpected color palette.

Great Layering. I'm from Illinois so I know how hard it is to look stylish in the polar vortex. She makes it look easy.

This look is so well put together and stylish. I know I've mentioned it before: I covet those boots by +Timberland.

That shirt. Amazing.

The thrifted velvet jacket is so cool with those brilliant gold +Dr. Martens

I so miss the jumper over a shirt combination. It's not a look that works especially well in maternity.  She's working it!

5 dresses to write home about

These dresses are good. Like, really good, and they're maternity!! I love the creative design; perfect for a holiday party. Rock a Bye Rosie has a divine collection of on trend maternity dresses, and a lot of them are on sale right now.

Winter Collection: Allsaints

Allsaints has some amazing stuff that's out now for winter. It's all very grey but so is the weather. Pair it with some bright accessories if you're scared of the dark. +AllSaints does such a good job with leather, drapery, embroidery, and details. I wish they had more clothing I could wear but I'll have to wait.

Here's some pieces that I believe could be bump accommodating, although you may need to go up a size:

Topshop Wishlist

When I first became pregnant, I was reluctant to look for maternity clothing because I was sure that they would be, well, lame. Picture mumu dresses in the worst way. I was one of those girls in denial, trying to fit into her pre-pregnancy wardrobe. To my surprise, I found that a lot of brands I love have maternity lines.  +Topshop has some really stylish clothes for pregnant ladies. Thank god.

These are sexy and so essential to pulling off the baggy shirt, hot legs look. If I had better balance I would rock them with bitchin stilettos.

Maxi dresses are really flattering on pregnant bodies. This would be great for autumn layering.

I nearly fell over putting my socks on this morning. Balance can be a problem when you are pregnant but you can still look stylish without heels. These have a unique pattern and an laid back classy design.

Va va voom, proof maternity doesn't mean frump.

A great basic: wearable and versatile with a modern twist.

Casual and ultra cool. Pair it with the wet look leggings and be a total badass.

Carrying a bag around on my shoulder all day can hurt my poor pregnant back. Switch it up by carrying a clutch on nights out. I love the zipper detail.

This is a great color for autumn, plus they're nice and opaque for the chilly weather.

Pleased to meet you

This is me and my fetus, who I have affectionately named Ham. My name is Audrey and I am 25 weeks pregnant.  I am an American living in Essex.

No frills, flowers, or fluff.  I am a realist. A grump with a bump. I love fashion and will scour the internet for stylish maternity wears.  They are out there.
Despite lacking a sunny disposition, I am a thrilled mother to be and can't wait to meet the little guy.

I'm here to share the experience, so feel free to follow me on twitter, google plus, or email me directly xx
