Gettin lucky in Kentucky

Do y'all know how great Kentucky is? Because everyone really should. I am obviously a big fan.

A 3rd trimester road trip is not nearly as complicated as I imagined. As long as you stop and stretch your legs every hour or so it's fine. I would, however, recommend having an emergency plan for when you really have to pee and there is no relief in sight. I bought a bed pan from Walgreens and made my husband swear he would still love me if worse came to worse. I didn't end up using it but there were a few close calls on those winding Kentucky roads.

We stayed at Country Girl at Heart B&B, which is a working farm. I got to hold puppies! She was incredibly hospitable and accommodating. There are things you should avoid when you're pregnant around live stock but as long as you try to keep your hands to yourself and wash them thoroughly you'll be fine.

31 weeks

I'm starting to feel those braxton hicks contractions that people talk about. At least I think I am....could be that Ham is just moving around funny. There seems to be a lot of mystery around contractions and labor.

I got this sweater dress from +Gap Maternity. It's a bit basic but I love the neck line. It adds a bit of sex appeal to an otherwise grey sack. Sweater dresses are one of my favorite things, so cozy and warm. This one isn't particularly festive but to me a sweater dress always says holiday season.

Christmas Inn

Can you tell I'm SO EXCITED?!?!

This place is amazing. Christmas. Themed. Hotel. I am a BIG fan of themed hotels/motels. There's nothing like sleeping in a rocket shaped bed. Actually it's kind of awkwardly shaped and not practical at all but, it's so good. It was kind of a mix up that they gave us two beds but it worked out because I got a bit of a cold from the plane and got to starfish sleep and mouth breath with out disturbing my poor husband.

Obviously I had to rustle up the most festive thing in my suitcase which happened to be:

Green is a holiday color right? Cardigan and socks are Primark, shirt is Motherhood Maternity, skirt is H&M, and the shoes are vintage.

30 weeks

Sorry y'all, I'm a bit behind. I had an amazing time at Thanksgiving! My family absolutely smothered me so I had no extra computer time.

Hello baby Ham.

My bump is getting so big I just can't imagine it growing. How does it all fit in there? The websites say Ham is the size of a large cabbage. What does that even mean?
Flying wasn't as uncomfortable as I feared. I made sure to get up, walk around, stretch, exercise, and drink a lot of water. It was about the same discomfort as I've always experienced on long haul coach flights. Just with extra trips to the bathroom.

So here I am in Myrtle Beach where, because of the jet lag, my husband and I got to watch the sunrise over the ocean. This dress is one of my favorites from H&M. It is the perfect trapeze shape and is great for layering.

Road trip!

This my husband and I are departing on our great American honeymoon road trip. We start in Myrtle Beach, drive through the mountains, and up to Illinois for a family Thanksgiving on the farm.

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and I haven't been in the states for one in over 4 years. Far too long. I won't be able to fly home for Christmas so my family is having Christmas in November!

Outfit: 11/11/13

When reading crystaldaisies.blogspot.co.uk I got a sudden urge to root around in Primark. I did a post about crop tops last week and found this lovely short jumper. It's cozy warm, but not too warm; my blood runs hot these days. I also purchased this cami in chartreuse, orange, teal, and hunter's green. I love Primark for their cheap basics; can't feel bad stretching it out when it only cost £1.50.
The jeans are by A Pea in the Pod, and the boots are Aldo.

Today was supposed to be donut day for my friend and me. We were going to try the infamous cronut, and a new muffin-donut from +Starbucks Coffee. He got the flu so I am staying well away, even though I've had my jab. It never used to phase me when one of my friends was sick; I would hang out anyways. Now I put myself in quarantine: can't get sick, mustn't get a fever.

Right now I'm packing up and getting ready for a road trip later this week. A road trip might not sound fun when you're 7 months pregnant but I can't wait to be free and explore one last time while I have the chance.
