28 week bloods, whoops

The cardigan is from +Target, the dress is +Topshop, the boots are Aldo. I got the hair styling idea from the Free People Blog.

I love wearing cardigans like this, even more now that I'm pregnant and nothing fits. Just let it hang at your sides or wrap up nice and cozy. I've had these boots for about 4 years now. The zipper needed fixing before I could wear them for the winter and now they are better than ever. Invest in good boots people!

Getting to my 28 week bloods debacle. I guess my midwife forgot to mention to me that I needed another blood test. I really wish she would have told me before I was so far along! Maybe the baby was just in a bad position the day I chose to make my way to the hospital but walking just hurt. What should have been a 15 minute walk took me at least 30 minutes. When I finally got to the hospital I had to wait 2 hours! The whole day was exhausting.

I just want to mention how much I love the NHS. Seriously. I would much rather have to wait for a blood test when they are really busy than have all the worry and stress that comes when dealing with health insurance in the states. Americans: it doesn't have to be so hard and expensive! I have seen the light! Socialized medicine is not evil; it's awesome. I was just having a little complain. In reality, this is the first time anything has ever gone a bit wrong for me when dealing with the NHS. I love you UK!!

Outfit: 11/11/13

When reading crystaldaisies.blogspot.co.uk I got a sudden urge to root around in Primark. I did a post about crop tops last week and found this lovely short jumper. It's cozy warm, but not too warm; my blood runs hot these days. I also purchased this cami in chartreuse, orange, teal, and hunter's green. I love Primark for their cheap basics; can't feel bad stretching it out when it only cost £1.50.
The jeans are by A Pea in the Pod, and the boots are Aldo.

Today was supposed to be donut day for my friend and me. We were going to try the infamous cronut, and a new muffin-donut from +Starbucks Coffee. He got the flu so I am staying well away, even though I've had my jab. It never used to phase me when one of my friends was sick; I would hang out anyways. Now I put myself in quarantine: can't get sick, mustn't get a fever.

Right now I'm packing up and getting ready for a road trip later this week. A road trip might not sound fun when you're 7 months pregnant but I can't wait to be free and explore one last time while I have the chance.

26 weeks

Ham is about the size of a scallion today.

I am hungry and tired all of the time. I actually fell asleep slumped over on my husband yesterday afternoon. He just let me crush him for about an hour; what a guy.

Am I the only pregnant woman who takes comfort in looking at the premature survival rates? Is that too morbid? Well, Ham has an 80% chance of survival if he was delivered today and that makes me feel a little relieved.

Pregnancy is giving me the most intense dreams. Last night, I dreamt I swallowed a fish alive and it was flopping around in my belly. It was just Ham having a good wiggle.

It's a rainy autumn day. Rainy autumn days are the perfect time to wear giant woolly sweaters. Beware of people wanting to touch your belly when you wear tactile clothes though. Can you blame them? I want to give myself a good squeeze in this.

The jumper is House of Fraser; I bought it from a charity shop's men's department. It's a real prize for me because I have the hardest time finding oversize jumpers that are the right length. The boots are from Aldo a couple seasons ago. Aldo has great sales, like the flash sale they are having for the next two days. Go get some quality boots for incredible deals!

For luck, I wore my charms. One is my zodiac sign and the other is the virgin Mary. I have no idea where I acquired this, maybe my great aunt, she was a Cancer too, and very catholic.
