27 weeks

I woke up this morning from hunger. Noises, alarms, bladder, pain, or dreams have all woken me before but I've never been woken up just from being hungry. Ham must be growing. I feel I've well and truly entered my 3rd trimester: I'm tired, I'm hungry, I'm enormous.

The cardigan is from +Zara and the tights are from Primark. The shoes used to be my mother's :)

The dress is by +French Connection, and is a really flattering cut for curves. It's really wearable and versatile. Because of the empire waist, it fits well over my bump. They keep releasing this same style in different material every time it gets warm:

Mr Worm

Sleeping is hard.

Whether I had to go to the bathroom every 10 minutes or wake up with hip and back pain, I wasn't getting enough. Grump. I started sleeping with about 5 pillows but I would kick them out of the bed, or have to adjust them in the night. I started looking for maternity pillows. Some are crazy expensive, but there are also reasonably priced ones if you look in the right place. This one by Theraline is just £33.76 on amazon right now.

I decided to make my own. I took some old felt pajama trousers from Primark, cut the legs off, and sewed them together so they made a long tube. I took some fuzzy material, cut it in a circle, and sewed it to one end. Then I took the 5 pillows I was sleeping with, cut them open, and put the stuffing in the tube. Finally, I sewed the end shut, and VOILA:

My husband calls it "Mr Worm." It's lumpy but it works like a dream. I sleep much better and have approximately 80% less hip pains. Success!

J. Crew is coming to London!

I cannot wait! I don't have to, the Guardian says it's here :)
+J.Crew has a maternity line, well, sort off. Really they have a range of maternity trousers, which are fabulous. I wish they had more stuff in the way of dresses and tops that were made specifically for us pregnant ladies. Oh well, I will just have to wait until I've bounced back to my pre-pregnant figure to go on a shopping spree on Regents Street.

Product Review: Venus Proskin Sensitive Razor

I hate razor burn (who doesn't?). I would do just about anything to prevent it. That's why I paid the extra pounds for this product. I have to say I am disappointed; it's really no better than plain Venus blades.
