Homemade fabric softener

I stopped using fabric softener after I read an article on what chemicals are in it, such as alpha-terpineol, and cloroform to name a few. Then I found I couldn't live without it so I looked into products that were green. Expensive. Finally, I stumbled upon Claire Gay's blog with a recipe and had to try it. Perfect. It's cheap, easy, and void of nasty chemicals.

The ratio is:
3 parts water
2 parts vinegar
1 part conditioner
a few drops tea tree oil
a few drops essential oil of your choice

I store it in the old bottle of the expensive stuff, that way it has the measuring cap right on top. Give it a good shake every time before you use it.
